Tell Me About Travis Alexander By: Joey Jackson Fans (Facebook Page)

TELL ME ABOUT TRAVIS…….
It’s so difficult to continue to hear talk about Travis Alexander over and over again because all we hear is of the horrific murder caused by Jodi Arias. It’s true what happened. In a rage, she stabbed him 29 times, shot him in the head and nearly decapitated him. That alone just takes your breath away to envision all of the pain and suffering that Travis endured in that short two minutes of him dying.
I think when Juan Martinez used the example in closing arguments of the timer set or two minutes in total silence in the courtroom……you could have heard a feather drop. And while that timer ticked by so slowly, we could visualize the violence that took place, the continuance stabbing of Travis, his trying to get away from Jodi, him trying to defend himself to get away from her but that was not to be. She had already overpowered him! I vividly remember the heaviness on my heart because when the times went off and the two minutes were up, we knew Travis no longer was alive. That was harsh reality for all of us to envision. I couldn’t speak as I sat in total silence as everyone in the courtroom did. They did not move!
We have listened intently for over a year now, non-stop of how Travis died. I want to talk about how ‘he lived’.
There are so many words I could use to describe all we’ve heard about Travis in living. To all of his friends and family, he was loyal, faithful, kind, compassionate, giving, dependable, and honest but my favorite is…..he was totally funny and hilarious! He lived life to the fullest and he brought you along with him if you were a friend.
He had a fabulous sense of humor and playing tricks on them……he was at his best doing that. In all of his seminars that are taped, you can’t hear Travis speaking well because the laughter is drowning out his voice. I mean overwhelming laughter! He was a natural and he mesmerized people with his outgoing personality. I often wonder if he knew how ‘special’ he really was. How loved he truly was by all of his dear friends who have spoken out about him since his death.
How ironic that in all of the magnitudes of friends that came forward to speak about Travis, only one person spoke trash about him. How surprising is it that it would be Jodi Arias? How is it that she can sit for hours in interrogations and interviews and speak so negative about him yet she is the only person that had those feelings about Travis? Doesn’t that speak more about ‘her’ than it does Travis?
Travis reached out to help people in need and cared for them in every way needed and that was a beautiful trait of his! His heart was as big as could be. He loved life and he lived it to the fullest so anyone that was in his company, they could count on being lifted up. Yes, Travis was more than special.
I will NEVER understand how tragic things happen to good people like Travis while others who could care less about doing anything good for people, remain here on earth. Travis should still be here. He didn’t deserve the death that took him away from his family and friends.
How does one cope that is family when they get the word of their brother’s death? And then to find out ‘how’ he died would be more than one could bear.
We have watched the entire family thru the first trial and now the penalty phase sit in constant grace, sitting thru all of the trash talk and lies spewed by the defense and especially by Jodi Arias. And nobody seems to be able to stop them. To just sit in the same room with the one who took my brother’s life would be something I’m not sure I could do. I give so much praise to Travis’ family and group of friends who have attended the trial. Your courage has not gone unnoticed.
While we begged to hear Travis speak during the trial, it seemed it was silenced more and more each day of who the real victim was. It wasn’t Jodi Arias, as the defense would like you to believe or Arias would beg for your attention…….the REAL victim in all of this will always be Travis.
Finally, yes finally it happened. On this glorious day that Dr. DeMarte took the witness stand for the state and began to testify, it was like the gates of Heaven opened up and we began to hear loud and clear, Travis’ voice. It was like he rose from behind the Pearly Gates and he was now getting an opportunity to speak and speak to us he did! We ALL felt it.
The jubilation that went thru our hearts was evident in all of the comments written on this page that I read. Everyone was praising and thanking Juan Martinez and Dr. DeMarte for this day that had been so long in coming.
We will continue to carry the message for Travis just as many other groups on other pages are doing. There are many of us working very hard to keep Travis’ memory alive.
Please continue to lift up his family members in your prayers as they continue their journey in this trial.
Your life truly mattered Travis. You will never be forgotten. And we are anxiously awaiting......'hearing from you again.'
