Samantha Turbeville, sister of Travis Alexander & who is also a Carlsbad police officer, makes her feelings no secret in court as seen by her facial expression. She is reacting to the 48 Hours TV interview Jodi Arias gave to CBS. In the interview, Jodi was still denying that she killed Travis and said 2 intruders did it. Jodi says she knows that Travis had alot of siblings, that she loves her own brothers and couldn't imagine what it would be like to get a phone call telling her something happened to one of them.

Jodi Arias Almost Forgets Her Self-Defense Story When Asked About Travis' Last Words- Gotcha Moment?

In an interview, a reporter asks Jodi Arias what were the last words Travis said to her in the bathroom before she dropped the camera. She says the conversation was just "idle chit-chat", "common stuff", talking about pictures and which ones to delete, etc. In what seemed to be a "gotcha" moment, the reporter then asks how Travis could have suddenly gone from such idle chit-chat to telling her he's going to kill her over a camera? Jodi visibly gulps. While trying to remember what happened, it seems as though she almost forgets about her self-defense story.

The ominous part of this is that they probably really were just talking idle chit-chat before she attacked him with either a gun or knife (whichever you believe came first). It suggests an utterly malicious and diabolical ambush with Travis having absolutely no idea what was coming to him.

This may be one of the least credible parts of Jodi's self-defense story. Would Travis have body slammed her or threatened her life for dropping his camera? Her story might have actually been more believable if she had said she that threatened to blackmail him or provoked him in some other way. It would then give more credence to the notion that he became angry or gave him a reason to threaten her. But a camera? The idea of killing and dying over a dropped camera just doesn't seem to fit the picture.

Note, this interview occurred on the same day her trial concluded, as the jury started deliberating on whether to give Jodi the death penalty. She gave several interviews on this day. It didn't seem to matter to her that as she was giving these interviews, the jury was deciding whether she lived or died. Some say that she did it because if she were sent to death row, it would be her last chance to be on camera. This is the same woman who on the day she was arrested seemed to care more about her hair and makeup for the mugshot photo.
